The sellers say …
We love the location. We are seven minutes to Mercato and 10 minutes to Waterside Shops. We live off the best six-lane stretch of U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) — there’s never much congestion. And the back gate into Imperial Golf Estates allows us easy access to the Livingston Road corridor, where we can pick up Interstate 75 easily north or south. Plus, the Southwest Florida International Airport is 20 minutes away!
But beyond the ease of getting around, what we like most is turning into Imperial and leaving the bustle of Naples behind. We drive through the guarded gates and are greeted by the expansive green of an impeccably maintained golf course, glimpses of pelicans and wood storks fishing in the many lakes, and streets of well-maintained houses, each with their own character (no cookie-cutter here). What captivated us from the start is that we get to enjoy all this with minimal fees.
Our house is set back far enough from the road so there is no traffic noise, and when we open the front door, we are greeted by another expanse of green. And you would think the view behind us was a nature preserve with the herons, anhinga, spoonbills, egret, gators, otters, all thriving on the ribbon of lake along our back yard. We even see eagles fishing! It is truly a retreat.
The house, with its split floor plan and 12-foot-high ceilings, lives large. There is a wonderful openness, as the living space flows comfortably from one room to the next. With its open kitchen and generous-sized rooms, the house is perfect for raising a family and entertaining. Guests can even spill out onto the large lanai and pool area. Inside, the house is light and airy; the natural light from skylights and glass sliders adding to the sights of nature in the distance.
We really have enjoyed living here and in all our looking have not found a house that combined so much in one package. From the established landscaping on a large lot, to the oversized pool, to the expansive views with barely another house in sight, to the location, to the large-feeling, flowing floor plan, the house has it all!
